Many people contribute to the Parish in various ways. There is always room for more servers so please do not hesitate to contact the parish office if you would like to join any of these ministries.

Liturgical Ministries

Ministers of the Word: Proclaiming the Holy Scriptures at Mass on a rostered basis.

Altar & Eucharistic Ministries: Altar servers prepare for Mass and assist the priest during the Mass.  Extraordinary ministers distribute holy communion.

Nursing Home visits: Extraordinary ministers distribute holy communion to the elderly in nursing homes.

Ministry to the Sick: Extraordinary ministers take holy communion to the sick and  housebound.

Music Ministry: Lead the community in sung parts of the Mass and hymns.

Wardens: Welcoming people to Mass and assisting with collections.

Parish Groups

Parish Pastoral Council: Members serve in a collaborative ministry with the parish priest.

Finance Committee: Supports the parish priest with financial matters and future planning and budgeting for now and into the future.

Catechists: Teaching scripture at Five Dock Public School, Abbotsford Primary School and Russell Lea Public School on a weekly basis.

Sacramental team: Assist with the organisation and preparation of children for the sacraments of Reconciliation, Holy Communion and Confirmation.

Church Cleaners: Cleaning and preparing the church for weekend worship.

Counters: Assist with the counting of donations. On a rostered basis on Sunday mornings after the 10am mass.

Piety Stall:  Assist with selling items in the Piety stall before and after weekend masses on a rostered basis.

Catholic Women’s League:  Meets every 3rd Monday of the month at 10am in the parish hall for discussion and prayer. Supports Church charities and provides a social and intellectual forum for women’s issues.

 Outreach Groups

St Vincent de Paul Society: Meetings are held every 2nd & 4th Tuesday of the month at 6pm in the meeting room connected to the Parish garage.  Supports people in need.

All Hallows Youth Group: Meetings are held second every Sunday during the school term, at 6pm in the parish hall after the 5pm Youth Mass for those in Years 5 and 6. Supporting our youth through social, spiritual and friendship opportunities, assisting with activities and youth Masses.
